1 - Shaun Garcia, August 12 - SAVANNAH’S COUNTRY CAPTAIN with Chicken, Carolina Gold Rice, Toasted Peanuts, Scallions
Table 301 Virtual Cook Along Dinner Series
Are you tired of making the same dinners every week? What if you could cook dishes from your favorite Table 301 chefs and restaurants at home? We've got you covered! Starting this August, Table 301 is launching a Virtual Table 301 Cook-Along Dinner Series. Think of this as a local version of a meal kit service - but with your favorite dishes from your favorite chefs live streaming how to prepare them.
During each cooking class you will prepare a full meal designed to serve 4 people including entree and side dishes. Our sommelier will even offer an optional wine pairing to add on to your meal. We've also included a few hors d'oeuvres and dessert options (each sized to feed 4 people) to add to your menu, if you choose.
This week's menu:
August 12: Chef Shaun Garcia, Soby's ($60 - serves 4 people)
SAVANNAH’S COUNTRY CAPTAIN
Chicken, Carolina Gold Rice, Toasted Peanuts, Scallions
Optional Wine Add On: Schug Pinot Noir, Carneros, California 2017 ($25) - As a special addition, we'll have Axel and Kristine Schug from Schug Winery pop in to the live stream to talk about the wine!
Here's how it works:
- Order you Meal Ingredients Box by Monday, August 10 through ShopTable301.com or by calling Table 301 Catering & Kitchen at 864.271.8431.
- Pick up your box of ingredients on Tuesday, August 11 or Wednesday, August 12 from Table 301 Catering & Kitchen (22 East Court Street, Greenville, SC 29601)
- On Wednesday, August 12, log in at 6:30pm to cook along with the chef live. Each chef will give you a step-by-step guide to preparing your meal from the comfort of your own kitchen. You can even ask questions via chat. (Bonus - If you can’t cook along with the live stream, we’ll have the videos available so you can make the meals on your schedule.)

Fun Family Night

We really enjoyed the virtual cooking class. We had our wine as we followed along. The meal came out delicious and was plenty. We even had leftovers. I think the chef needs to slow down just a bit. Luckily we watched the recording as we cooked on Friday and were able to pause the show. We are doing it again this week.
Try it... it will not disappoint!

This cook-a-long box contained the freshest assortment of ingredients, all clearly labeled and ready to go. The recipe instructions were clear and concise. The box contained enough food to feed 4, but we're only 2. When I prepped everything prior to the cooking session, I was prepared to cook only half and stored the other half to cook another day. It's a perfect solution for us. I knew my husband would love the flavors, but I'm not typically as adventurous. However, this dish was incredible! The online cooking session had some technical difficulties, but it was the first one and it eventually worked fine. Regardless, technical difficulties pop up even in the most experienced situations. It did not take away from the fun at all. I felt like I was tuning in to cook with family. It was entertaining and relaxing. And yummy! Can't wait for the next one!
(BTW... attempt #5 at leaving a review. Website is being verrrry persnickity)
